When it comes to nail care, we’ve heard mixed reviews throughout this pandemic. Some people let their nail care routine go out the window as local and mobile nail spas temporarily closed, while others rediscovered their at-home nail care abilities and experimented with colors they hadn’t touched for years. Now let’s talk about nail self-care in between mani’s and pedi’s.
While we don’t expect you to pamper yourself quite to the extent professional technicians can pamper you, here are some at-home tips to maintain proper nail self-care that will make you feel good about yourself this summer!
1. Trim your nails but not too short. Short nails before a mani can increase the likelihood of infection and pain.
2. Moisturize. Find a fragrance-free moisturizer that has shea butter and Vitamin E.
3. Drink lots of water! Water hydrates all parts of our body, including our nails and skin.
